The amazing creator of the week is dani keith -- a shop specializing in artisan jewelry with classic design and a modern perspective.

dani keith started October of 2009, "At first jewelry design and production was a necessary stress reliever for me as I worked an insane corporate job, very soon after it became a passion and then really an obsession."

dani keith's biggest challenge is focus, "There are so many ideas that float in my head {it is hard to get a full night sleep} so what I have found of late is that it is best to capture all my ideas on paper, then I can complete each series with the time and attention it deserves."

Biggest accomplishment so far, "I think to this point, securing bench space in a collaborative and creative studio with my mentor Ginger Meek Allen [is my biggest accomplishment]; I have learned and grown so much because of this amazing space and the other artists that work there."

For inspiration, "I think all creatives feel like they lose their muse from time to time, so i try to stop forcing myself to come up with something and try to explore spaces and locations that have nothing to do with jewelry per se, but are chock a block full of beautiful design."

Besides your shop what makes you tick? "My husband, David...he is my biggest fan and without his support, I most assuredly would not get to do what I love for my job."

A tip for other sellers: "I know this probably sounds cliche, but you get out what you put in...if you want to create and it fills you with joy and the sales and business end are not your thing, that is great...BUT if you want to create a business then you need to work at it everyday, it will be the hardest, but most rewarding job you have ever had."

A great way to promote: "Without a doubt Facebook, I am lucky to have a dedicated group of fans that follow me and give great feedback whenever I post. I love that fb lets your clients come along on the journey; I frequently show pieces in various states of completion and I really believe that my clients form an emotional bond with the process, they root you on, it is so so good!"

dani keith loves to use Etsy and Craftgawker as sweet resources.

Keep an eye out for new pieces, "currently I am working with lacquer and copper, it is a new series and still very brand new, but it is a way to bring my LOVE of color together with my metal obsession."

I see where you lost so many followers with the name change. OUCH!

Thank you so much for the feature.

I agree with Dani that when you have lost your muse it's best to relax and open yourself to new sights and experiences. We usually push and struggle instead of relaxing and expanding. Wonderful reminder.
